The Ever Expanding Bunker is a dystopian post-apocalyptic scenario based on a post by u/Randomaspland originally made to make fun of political compass memes via an absurd scenario in a fictional world on r/politicalcompassmemes.

Plot Summary

Humanity finds itself stranded inside a bunker after something only known as "The Event" renders earth inhabitable and forces the remaining population underground. The Bunker used to have 4000 levels and the Departments had almost total control over the Bunker after a coup of the Overseer who was the previous ruler of the Bunker. However, the Fog Incident happened where the Bunker was shrouded in fog and the MAW, a powerful paranormal entity, consumed 3500 of those levels and erased people's memories of them. Only 572 would remain intact and only a couple would actually be habitable. After this, paranormal forces gained more of a foothold in the Bunker and factions started to gain power and challenge the authority of the Departments. This culminated in a Bunker wide Cold War. The Level 4000 project was supposed to be the purpose of the Bunker, allowing for interdimensional travel and stopping the entity that caused the "Event" called the Mire, however it was erased by the MAW and an attempt to recreate it on Level 17 failed. The Level 17 Project's failure caused the Bunker to split into multiple timelines, each with their own outcomes for the Bunker. You can read more about these timelines in the Canons page.
